Labour leadership battle

Loads of money going on Dan Jarvis. Odds have shortened hugely over the last couple of days.

Not part of the Blair or Brown governments and a former army major who is likely to appeal to Middle England. Could be a good choice for them.

And Burnham will never win a GE for Labour. Mid-Staffs makes him an open goal for the Tories on the NHS, which will doubtless be Labour's primary issue in 2020.

What appears to be larger inaccurate is your entire angle of debate because you continually misquote or ignore what the Secretary of State has actually said not to mention the rather misguided attempts to shift the focus away from that to some strange notion that Nicola Sturgeon is unlike any other politician who express an opinion that contradicts the party line

All fought and Milliband's line, are now saying they had nothing to do with it.
Modern politicians are so bland and poll dominated that not one of them has the gumption to stand up for their beliefs, probably because they have none.
Only Burnham seems to be continuing his own view and he's no bloody good either.

Whatever the memo said, Sturgeon DOES gain by having Cameron and co in. As they alienate the Scottish vote still further, she cements her own position at the cost of the Labour vote.
Trouble is, when you realise that she only has the same number of MPs as the LibDems at their height, despite a far lower proportion of the vote, it'll be noticed she has no power save for publicity stunts and name calling.
When they achieve nothing, due to Con majority, it may even backfire as people will see that the SNP alone cannot guarantee squat.
That said, Labour are screwed for at least a couple of years, if not longer.
Their leadership candidates, all of whom were happy to fight the Ed line,

No. He hasn't. He has apologised for leaking the memo and said 'the details are not accurate'. That is a million miles away from saying that she didn't say what is reported.

Are you suggesting the French Consul-General is a liar? What on earth would his motive be?

Glad to see you've emerged from your state of confusion and now wholly concur that Carmichael's word cannot be trusted, that the document does at the very least point to some comments being made in a conversation that did take place in English between Nicola Sturgeon and the French ambassador though we may never know for sure what was actually said

Anyway back on topic. Labour don't seem to know what they want to do. Part of me wants to go and work for them to teach them how to tie their shoelaces together, string a sentence together and you know actually sound like human beings.

If they listened to what the voters were telling them they'd be w lot better off, I doubt they will. Their latest wheeze is to complain voters were lazy and didn't go and vote for them.

She had nothing to gain from saying she wanted cameron as PM and everyone to lose. Considering she's a very good political do you honestly think she took leave of her senses?

1)The same Secretary of State who also said he'd never seen the memo?

2) "lost in translation" is a world apart from false bearing in mind the conversation which did take place was conducted in English as all the French official present are fluent

3). Sturgeon may have not said anything for political reasons The view that Ed Miliband is not PM material is largely consensus anyway and perhaps what was misunderstood was she thought Cameron would win rather than wanted him to win?

Interpretation perhaps ?

I see. I was wondering what prompted that clip.

I used to like that show. I often watched it on days when I'd chucked a sickie from school.
There was no Islamic State to go and fight with in those days, so I just stayed at home and watched telly.
